Production Planner

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for Production Planner reporting to the Production Planning Manager.

The main purpose of production planner role is to provide an efficient production schedule in line with customer requirements and the companies budgeted performance targets.

The successful applicant should be a good team player, but also have the ability to work unsupervised. You must be focused and versatile, able to prioritise the workload and adhere to all deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail and good computer skills are vital. Experience in SAP would be an advantage but full training will be given.

As a Production Planner your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Setting and managing the production schedule for the next 5 days.
  • Supporting S&OP process – capability to run S&Op as cover.
  • Generating the reports for the next 24 hours production – e.g. priority sheets, manning sheet and run plans.
  • Processing of new customer orders and amendments
  • Actioning lead time requests and sales enquiries.
  • Maintaining internal and external stock reports
  • Supporting projects
  • Attending and representing Planning at meetings with accurate updates for key stakeholders
  • Managing SFG stocks – reviewing and allocating existing stocks to new orders.
  • Provide cover for the Planning Manager in their absence
  • Working alongside the Raw Materials Co-Ordinator to ensure all materials are on site for the next 48 hours of production.
  • Reviewing the last 24 hours of production and internal rejects to ensure the customer order is dispatched On Time In Full, plan any necessary remakes.
  • Arranging the recovery of aging or rejected stocks via reworks or primary slits.

IT & Systems Administrator

 About the role

We are seeking to recruit an additional member to join our small IT and Systems administration team providing on-site technical support to a growing business.

Working as part of our helpdesk, the successful candidate will be involved in a variety of different activities including the creation and maintenance of ERP products, providing both hardware and software in-house support to users and working on development projects.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who shows a passion for IT, who can demonstrate solid technical skills and wants to develop and learn.

As a IT and Systems Administrator your duties will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Creation and administration of ERP product master data.
  • Troubleshooting of IT hardware related problems, PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, mobile phones, CCTV, handheld scanners, etc.
  • Resolving IT related software problems, including, Office365, SAP and a variety of inhouse applications.
  • Assisting the team with new IT projects across the business.
  • Involvement in the maintenance of existing IT infrastructure.
  • Take ownership of user reported issues and escalate when required.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries.

Qualifications

  • A high standard of school/college education including Maths, English and IT.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • SAP knowledge would be an advantage although full inhouse training will be given.
  • Previous IT experience.
  • Windows 10/11 competence.
  • Office 365 competence.

Quality Manager

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Manager reporting directly to Camvac’s Development Director.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the application of the company’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with the requirements of ISO and BRC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead external regulatory and certification or internal GxP audits
  • Coordinate certification bodies
  • Responsible for logging claims, internal investigation, issuing corrective actions reports and closure of each claim.
  • Dealing directly with the customer when claim is logged and resolved Claims performance will be measured against agreed KPI’s.
  • Investigating internal rejects, root cause analysis and coordinating corrective actions with the Production and Quality Team.
  • Managing the SCAR process internally, liaising with each supplier to ensure each claim is closed with a satisfactory corrective action. SCAR’s will be measured against agreed KPI’s.
  • Introducing a supplier grading system in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Managing Shift Quality Inspectors and QC Laboratory to ensure internal and external quality meets agreed KPI’s.
  • Managing Quality Inspector and Quality Control teams attendance and performance
  • Responsible for coaching, development and succession planning of the Quality Inspector and Quality Control teams
  • Maintaining levels of Quality Assurance knowledge/expertise and training for both self and teams Management of Quality related documentation such as SOPs.

Shift Quality Control Inspector

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Shift Quality Control Inspector.

The role will involve co-ordinating quality control of all components that go into single-ply and laminated film structures. This will include raw materials at material intake and validation of the materials at various stages of the conversion process. Ensuring products are being produced in accordance agreed specifications and that all agreed testing protocols are being adhered to.

The ideal applicant would have a previous experience of a quality control role in a fast-moving production environment, be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills and have a good eye for detail. Strong communication skills both verbal and written along with the ability to work under their own initiative are essential attributes for this role. The ideal candidate would also be computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience using SAP would be preferable, however full training on SAP would be given.

Shift Engineer

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Shift Engineer reporting to the Engineering team Leader.

Working normally in a small team, the ideal candidate should be self –motivated, with an enquiring mind, looking to improve and expand their existing skills and knowledge. Qualified to level 3 or higher (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline with experience of working in an industrial engineering maintenance environment required.

Duties will primarily be fault finding and breakdown recovery on process plant, carrying out planned maintenance and plant refurbishment work, as well as some involvement in continuous improvement and development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks are carried out effectively, advising engineering management of any changes or improvements required to the plan.
  • To diagnose and rectify machine faults, including working from drawings and manuals, reporting any persistent faults with suggested improvements.
  • To communicate machine problems and safety requirements that cannot be undertaken immediately, enabling work to be scheduled after consultation with production and engineering management.
  • To ensure that site is secured for shut down periods and plant is ready for re-start after site shut down periods.
  • To accurately report activity into the engineering computer system e.g. record breakdowns, maintenance and improvement work carried out. · To specify parts needed for repair or project work, assisting engineering stores in their procurement. If circumstances dictate, it may be necessary to order parts directly.
  • To make decisions on engineering and safety matters when management is off site, contacting them or outside agencies for assistance when required.
  • To be involved in continuous improvement projects, ensuring that, in consultation with engineering management, work is carried out to agreed standards.
  • To provide and effective customer service for the Production Team to improve site performance as part of the wider Operations Team

Machine Operative 

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Production Operative.

In this role you fulfil a range of operational requirements by actively and effectively servicing customer needs whilst maintaining a safe environment. This will include various activities including but not exclusive to Machine Driver, Packing, Material Movement, optimisation and trainer.

The successful applicant will have practical hands- on approach to problem solving and ability to plan workload to optimize personal and equipment quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Fully comply with all Company Policies always including Health and Safety.

  • Ensure daily Quality and compliance standards are adhered to by fully complying with relevant SOP’s and always maintaining GMP adherence.
  • Maintain the required high standard of housekeeping and GMP across your Department at all times and ensure GMP in the area.
  • When allocated a job, conform to customer specification/standards, taking full responsibility for workmanship.
  • Undergo any training courses required of you in relation to job skills, Health and Safety or Company Policies.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to lean manufacturing principles and concepts
  • Report any Engineering/machine related issues promptly to the Engineering Department / Shift Engineer
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.
