Camvac Cambrite Camvert Packaging Innovations Compostable Metallised Acetate Film

Camvac, the leading supplier of metallised films, clear barrier films and laminates, is launching Cambrite Camvert, a new fully biodegradable and home compostable decorative metallised film, at Packaging Innovations Birmingham February 2020.

Cambrite Camvert is a fully biodegradable and home compostable decorative metallised film, designed to be used within the board lamination market as an eco-friendly alternative to metallised polyester.

Cambrite Camvert is a premium solution for brands who are looking for a fully biodegradable and certified home compostable decorative metallised film. Cambrite was originally developed to give maximum brilliance and visual impact for the board lamination market. Changes in consumer habits and the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions have led Camvac to develop a range of biodegradable and compostable barrier films under their Camvert Range.

Cambrite Camvert is certified biodegradable and compostable to EN13432. ASTM D6400 and Vincotte. The film is available in a range of base colours with a mirror-like brilliance. Created using patented technology and designed to be receptive to print and graphics.

Sam Smith, Sales & Marketing Director, from Camvac said: “Exhibiting last year, we witnessed first-hand the growing industry demand for ‘green’ packaging solutions. Over the year Camvac has invested heavily in research and development to be able to bring a range of eco-friendly films to Packaging Innovations. Our Cambrite Camvert film is officially being launched here and is one of our key sustainable films. It’s a film which is home compostable and is ideal for applications within the luxury beauty and fragrance markets.”
